Over Labor Day weekend, I took my cool 9 year old nephew through Lewis and Clark Caverns for his birthday. I had last been to the cave 20+ years ago. An amazing feat of nature, well worth a visit. It was a 90 degree day outside, but 50 degrees and up to 96% humidity inside.The best part of the tour is hearing about the early tourists to the caverns---they would go on an all day event using ropes and a rotten, wooden staircase.
